This was one of the first projects I took on after starting Polaris Cartography. I software for displaying a 3D visualization of an air pollution plume over real terrain. The program was fed by real time emissions and ambient air monitoring and meteorological instrumentation. Modeling was conducted to determine pollutant concentrations over the region. Map displays were generated at one minute intervals. The purpose was to aid researchers in determining optimum monitoring configurations for capturing and measuring pollutant plumes at large, 3 dimensional area and volume sources.
