These maps were put together based on field surveys and engineering data at sites where we conducted air quality monitoring and emissions measurements studies. The goal was to characterize emissions from large, diffuse sources of air pollution (e.g., wastewater treatment, agriculture, refineries and chemical plants) and to develop or refine methods for measuring emissions from such sources.
